CREATING A WEBQUEST

Hello everyone,

Today I am here with a concept that has a really interesting name also brings homework and the internet together, this concept is WebQuest. But what it is? According to Wikipedia; WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web.

    In this post, first I will talk about the homework given to us. We need to choose a project from the given textbook and reshape it to be able to be done on an online platform. In order to do this, we had to use a WebQuest format. It has five stages (introduction, task, process, evaluation, and conclusion).

    With my homework partner Berrak Kılıç, we chose the poster preparation project on page 374 about a superhero. In order to make it suitable for the Webquest, we first explained the task to the students in detail. Then we explained the steps to be followed by the students in the process section with the help of photographs. We also suggested websites where they could get information and use it for the task. After the process part, we prepared a rubric for them to evaluate themselves. Finally, we congratulated the students for their good work and said goodbye.
